This is a good diary but I wanted information about the blitz. You really need to check use of capital letters and full stops. I am concerned about the lack of understanding of sentence structure here. We will focus on the correct use of this in class tasks.

The Blitz was the period of sustained strategic bombing of the United Kingdom by Nazi Germany during the Second World War. Between 7 September 1940 and 21 May 1941 there were major aerial raids on 16 British cities. Over a period of 267 days, London was attacked 71 times, Birmingham, Liverpool and Plymouth eight times, Bristol six, Glasgow five, Southampton four, Portsmouth and Hull three, and there was also at least one large raid on another eight cities. This was a result of a rapid escalation starting on 24 August 1940, when night bombers aiming for RAF airfields drifted off course and accidentally destroyed several London homes, killing civilians, combined with the UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill's immediate response of bombing Berlin on the following night, was blacked out on 1st September 1939, two days before the outbreak of war. During the war, everyone had to cover their windows and doors at night (before sunset) with heavy blackout curtains, cardboard or paint. They needed to prevent any glimmer of light from escaping and aiding enemy aircraft during their bombing raids.Street lights were switched off or dimmed and shielded to deflect their light downward. Traffic lights and vehicle headlights were fitted with slotted covers to deflect their beam down to the floor.

This research needed to be in far greater depth Lilly. Try to look into different aspects of the subject and offer information at a deeper level.

Excellent blitz research that was an enjoyable read. Your planes research was inaccurate though. Spitfire is an aircraft but Luftwaffe is not. It is the name of the German air force.
