This week in RE, we have been finding out about promises. Pastor Phil came in to visit us and to talk about promises in the bible. We also wrote our own promises, reflected on broken promises and thought about when different promises are made. Pastor Phil came in on Wednesday and spoke to us about promises that God made and promises that where broken . First he explained to us how Adam and Eve ate from the tree that they where told not to eat from. He also told us part of the story of Noah and the ark. I learnt that when Noah came off the ark he was not nice any more. We where given a Bible to look at promises that where made. Also we talked about what God did to punish the world . Finally Pastor Phil said that if we break a promise we will be disappointed in ourselves ,also other people will be disappointed as well. At the end we all had lots of questions to ask and we got lots of answers.

This week pastor Phil came into our classroom and told us the meaning of promises and how God always kept his. He promised to these people :Adam , Eve , Abraham , Noah ,David and Church Matthew but sadly not many of them kept their promises. We looked at the types of promises {e.g.} nuns ,monks ,baptism and godparents and we reviewed the effects of broken promises. My favourite bit about the day was when we learnt about the history of new years resolutions.

On Wednesday pastor Phil came in and told us about New Years resolutions and promises. He told us that 88 %of people do not. Keep there resolutions leaving only 12%of the people keep them. The thing that surprised me most is when the snake told Adam and Eve to eat from the tree, the snake did not slither over, the snake had leggs. We were told when Noah came off the ark he was not a very nice man. Pastor Phil also said when we brake a promise we don't just let are selves down we let other down as well. God always kept his promise even when other people broke them

Today Pastor Phil came into our class and taught us about what promises are made at new year. One of the main promises was, most adults tell themselves at new year that their going to loose weight or go for a run every day. The thing is that 88% of people don't stick to their promises, there's always an excuse. Another thing he taught us was that not everyone in the Bible stuck to their promises either. In-fact Adam from Adam and Eve broke a promise by eating the fruit of the tree that god had forbid them to do. All their generations after that did the same so thats why God flooded the earth because to many people were making the wrong decisions . God told 1 innocent man what was going to happen and his name was Noah so Noah got his family and some animals and went.

This week Pastor Phil came in and talked about new years resolutions and promises, He talked about things like baptism, nuns, monks and godparents. When we make resolutions 88% of us fail because its a habit or we have not got time also if we don't keep our promises it will effect you and other people. God never breaks his promises unlike Adam and Eve who broke their promise to God not eat from the forbidden tree.

Pastor Phil came in and talked to us about promises and New Years resolutions. He told us that 88 of people don't keep their resolutions and the 12 percent of the people are mainly women . The reson why is because they told their friends so they could remind them . We also learnt about nuns , monks, grandparents and baptism . My favourite part of the day was learning about how many people actually kept their resolutions.

I learnt about promises and new year resolutions. A resolution is a promise that you make and you try to keep for the whole year. Most adults promise to get fit every year. Someone came in to see us and talk to us about it his name was Pastor Phil he said that people don't keep the promises and just forget about it also 88% of students at a college failed to keep their resolution. We learnt how to read the bible and we read some of Adam and Eve it was very hard to find. I really enjoyed the day it was good learning about resolutions and what they mean.

Last Week Pastor Phil came to see us he told us about promise like a new years resolution is a promise we make to our self's did you know girls are able to keep there promise better then boys because they tell there friends about what there promise is and that friend helps and supports them to keep it. Not just now a days people make promise he said even people in the Bible made promise e.g God promised to destroy all evil and God promised to never flood the world again and promise to come back one day also He made a promise to Adam and Eve that if they obey him ,don't eat from the tree of good and evil,he will let them live in the garden.

Pastor Phil came into school and told us all about promises and I learnt about how important promises they are very very important to keep. It was found that 88% of people didn't keep their new years resolutions and only 12% did. Adam and Eve disobeyed God and took an apple off the tree of good and evil and God sent them away. The same with Noah and the ark after the flood Noah started to do bad things. Also Mary and Joseph were some how related because they are both in the line of David. That is what I learn't about promises.

Promises... so many people fail to keep their new year resolutions because their resolutions are too hard conditional or they forget
